Happy couple giving a wedding toast at their woodland wedding reception in Ben Lomond by destination wedding planner Mango Muse Events

Marissa and Connor met online. They had one date and love grew quickly from there. They are down to earth, artistic and thoughtful people who are both super close with their families. When they got engaged and with family all across the country, they wanted to create a wedding that shared their love of the outdoors and chose the peaceful redwoods in Ben Lomond.

Their wedding was thoughtful, personal and natural with simple, artistic and rustic touches. Starting with a modern Jewish ceremony in the center of a ring of redwoods including the signing of a special Ketubah, a hand made chuppah built by the groom and covered with a quilt made by the bride and her mother, and a ring warming ceremony in a special handmade box. The reception started with a stroll through the woods and included seating cards on a bed of moss, locally grown flowers, wood table numbers, rustic vases and napkins tied with jute and a single fern. Guests enjoyed a rustic meal finished with home made cotton candy, a gluten free dessert bar and a super lively hora which lead to dancing that lasted all night long. This is their wedding story…

double-line-separator“Thank god for Jamie! Planning our wedding was intense, but Jamie made it so much easier! She was great and she really got us. We were so surprised by the special details she created. Everything was beautiful and it went so great. We had the best time and our families were so happy. It was magical. The only thing I would have changed was to have hired her right from the beginning. I didn’t think having a wedding planner could even be this great.”
