Happy couple enjoying an intimate moment at their Kirkwood mountain wedding at the Hideout

Lauren and Ben met at a training class for work. Being the only 2 employees who weren’t in sales or engineering, they got placed together and immediately hit it off. Living on separate coasts, they fell in love over the phone and text, with the relationship deepening as they came together. As a couple, they love being outdoors and camping because it’s a chance to get away from it all and really connect in nature. So, when they got engaged, having a remote wedding in the California mountains was key so they could celebrate in the great outdoors, their happy place.

Their wedding was both relaxed and lively, with lots of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The wedding ceremony began by honoring Ben’s military background, with members on both sides dressed for the occasion. The design was natural and organic with trailing vines, moss and pops of fall colors decorating the trellis. The couple led the recessional through the woods to the reception, dancing to festive music. Farm tables, bistro lights, the couple’s favorite foods, homemade pies, locally grown mini pumpkins, and rich fall flowers mixed with classic neutrals created a cozy atmosphere. The couple snuck away for some sunset fishing before the night kicked off with dancing and campfires lasting into the wee hours of the morning. This is their wedding story…
