Brooke and Mike met in Australia on different college study abroad trips. While they didn’t immediately get together, they made an impression on each other and after years long distance dating, they came together in San Francisco and have been together ever since. When they got engaged it was really important to celebrate not only their love, but the people who helped and supported their relationship through the years. With a love of the Caribbean and a vision of an endless beach party, the intimate island of Anguilla fit the bill perfectly.
Their wedding was a fun, light hearted and thoughtful weeklong celebration with lots of opportunities to gather, connect and laugh. The wedding day began with a very personal and playful beach ceremony written by the couple and officiated by a close friend. Tropical foliage and flowers adorned the chuppah and aisle and continued into the casual cocktail hour with steel drums. The party kicked off with a shot (also escort card) and dancing courtesy of a lively NYC band. Guests enjoyed a seasonal local meal finished with lots of sweaty, fun beachside dancing late into the night. This is their wedding story…
“From the first meeting with Jamie we felt heard and understood with our list of demands: Caribbean, no shoes, rad band, good drinks. Together we elevated that list into the best weekend we could have ever dreamed of. Working with Jamie was a dream. She is incredibly professional, pays attention to every single detail, super responsive and very realistic with expectations. The day of the wedding, I didn’t worry about a thing. Everything was perfect. We successfully took 97 people to a tiny island with all of them echoing “best weekend of my life” as they left. Thank you Jamie for bringing our pipe dream to life. I so wish we could do it again.”
