Why You Should Have a Destination Wedding in France

Did you know that France is one of the most visited countries in the world (top 3 to be exact)?

And there’s a reason for it (well, there are many reasons for it)!

And for a destination wedding, it’s always a good pick.

France is the hot wedding destination right now! Zoe Kravitz just got married there. And of course, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas just had their destination wedding in France.

So, why France?

If you’re debating destination locations, here are 6 reasons why you should have a destination wedding in France.

6 Reasons to Have a Destination Wedding in France

Reason #1 – The Food

We have to start with the biggie, the food. If you’re a foodie, you can’t not be impressed with the food in France. Not to say that there isn’t amazing food elsewhere. Because there definitely is.

But, the food is superb.

It’s the ingredients. They’re just so fresh and umptious. The bread. The butter. The pastries.

And let’s not forget the actual meals itself.

If food is important to you and ranks high on your list for your wedding, then a destination wedding in France makes a ton of sense.

You don’t have to have a fancy Michelin star meal (although you totally could!), to have a great wedding meal in France.

Just purely by being there and choosing the right caterer, will result in a great wedding meal.

And we haven’t even started on the wine…

Reason #2 – The Romance

France is romantic.

It’s made for lovers.

And whether you’re a romantic, touchy feely kind of couple or not, it’s nice to be in a place that is.

Because you’re celebrating your love for each other.

And getting married in a place that celebrates love, gives it an extra feeling of warmth, happy feelings and well… love.

It makes you want to be with each other even more. And emphasizes your love for each other.

And who doesn’t want more love on their wedding day?

Reason #3 – A Built In Honeymoon Location

One of the best things about France is that there are so many lovely areas to explore.

Which means that when you have your destination wedding in France, you’ve also got a built in honeymoon location too.

And we just talked about all the romance, remember?

You’ve got everything from Paris to Provence. There are beach towns along the French Riviera, country chateaus and mountain regions.

Where ever you have your destination wedding in France, you can easily choose another area for your honeymoon.

You get to continue the romance. And it saves you money since you’re already there.

Not to mention that there is something really nice and relaxing about actually taking your honeymoon right after the wedding.

Reason #4 – Tons of Options to Choose From

Having a destination wedding in France means you have so many options to choose from.

There are so many different landscapes and areas. So many different cities and towns.

But, not only are there tons of destination locations within France, but wedding venues as well.

There are luxury hotels and resort wedding venues. There are opulent and elegant wedding venues. Historical wedding venues. Venues with old world charm. Rustic wedding venues and chateaus. And of course modern and contemporary wedding venues.

What this means is you can choose the exact location and venue that fits you.

Just because you’re having a destination wedding in France doesn’t mean you have to have gold chairs and a traditional French style wedding.

You don’t have to lose your style just because you’re in France. You can choose a location and venue that suits who you two are and what you like.

Reason #5 – Party All Night Long

French weddings are known to go on for hours until very early in the morning. Yes, you heard that right, not late into the night, but early into the morning.

What this means is that by having a destination wedding in France, you can party all night long.

The party literally almost doesn’t have to end.

Which, let’s be honest, isn’t usually something you can find. Especially in the US.

The party always feels like it ends too soon. And you and your guests want to keep celebrating.

Well, in France you can. It’s actually expected.

Reason #6 – Je ne sais quois

France just has a certain je ne sais quois. And that transfers to your destination wedding as well.

I love this phrase. It’s naturally a French phrase that fits the country perfectly.

Because there is just something about it.

Something intangible in the air, in the vibe, in the people.

Something you just can’t quite put your finger on. But, something that makes it special.

And when you have your destination wedding in a special place, your guests can’t help but feel it too.

France is a hot wedding destination right now. But, here’s the real secret…. it always will be!

A destination wedding in France is always a good idea.

There is so much to love about the country and so much you can share with your guests.
