A Joyful 2016 and Looking to 2017

Wowza, can you believe that 2016 is almost over?  It’s crazy, but I feel like every year just goes by faster and faster.  Maybe that’s a product of getting older or just being busy.  And 2016 was a busy one.

Well, if I’m honest, every year is a busy year.  But, this year was different.  This year I gave birth!  …To Passport to Joy.  Haha…did I fool you?  Passport to Joy has been what seems like a labor of love for a while now.  The inkling of an idea started long ago, but never really became real until about a year ago.  At this time last year was when I really started to think about it seriously.

Then 2016 was all about the research, beta group, creation, and launch.  It’s been a crazy ride.  Lots of ups and downs as is with any big new project.  I learned a ton about myself, about the tech side of things and just about what I really want.  Passport to Joy is not just a new product, but it’s really my way of being able to bring more joy to the world.

I know our little sphere of weddings is small in relation to the bigger world and bigger problems.  But, it’s such a happy decision to choose to marry someone you love.  It’s something you should celebrate.  And I really believe the process should be equally as happy for everyone.

There are so many couples I’ve unfortunately not been able to help over the years.  And that has always made me sad.  I think everyone should be able to enjoy the wedding planning process and get the help they need no matter what their budget is.  So, Passport to Joy was born.  And I’m so thrilled.  I’m thrilled to be helping couples in a new way.  And I just can’t wait for all the joy that is to come!

Passport to Joy was the biggie for me in 2016, but I also got to work with some amazing couples and meet some new ones.  We redid the website and launched it in 2016 and I love our new duds.  I also made a bunch of new friends and vendors and am so excited to be working with them in the future.

2016 was a super productive year and I’m really looking forward to 2017.  It’s going to be an exciting year for Mango Muse Events and Passport to Joy.

Thank you so much for being a part of the Mango Muse Events family!  Thank you for coming and hanging out on the blog and for all of your love and support.  I hope you found some love and support here for yourself as well.  Enjoy the rest of your 2016 (as I will) and here’s to a kickass 2017!
