Make Wedding Decisions that Matter

Wedding Planning Tips by Destination Wedding Planner, Mango Muse Events

If you’ve been watching the political circus that is our presidential election you may be thinking….what is going on?!  It’s certainly what I’ve been thinking.  It’s been a crazy year.  When did it go from two people running for office to email hacks and sexual assault?  It certainly doesn’t make you very proud to be an American.

But, today is election day.  Which means today is the day to make a decision.  You may hate one candidate.  You may hate both.  But, your decision today matters.  Whether you vote or abstain, you have to make a decision.  And most importantly feel good about your decision.  Because whatever happens after today is on all of us.  The decision today affects our future.

You may be having a crazy year yourself.  You got engaged and now you’re planning your wedding.  And I can bet things are starting to get crazy.  With all the options, all the info being thrown at you and all the decisions you need to make, it’s alot.  Particularly the wedding decisions.

Decision making is hard, not just for big things like your wedding venue, but small things too.  I’m not going to lie, there are a ton of decisions you need to make for your wedding.  And even if you’re good at making decisions, it’s still alot to deal with.

But, like the election you have to make a decision.  Nothing can move forward until you do.  And the longer you wait the more you drag it out for yourself, mentally and emotionally.  So, how do you make these wedding decisions?

There are many factors that play into your wedding decisions.  And there steps you can work through to make sure you’re making the best decision for you.  But, in the end, decision making really comes down to one thing.  Choosing what matters.

What matters to you?  What do you actually care about?  When you make the right decision for you (whether easy or hard), you feel good about it.  And you feel good about it because you’re being true to yourself and what matters to you.  Forget about what everyone else wants.  Don’t worry about what is normal or expected.  Put aside what would match the most.  What matters is how you feel about it and what it means to you.  And if it doesn’t mean anything to you, do away with it and move on.

Your wedding decisions are important and they will affect your future.  But, you don’t have to make them harder then they need to be.  Focus on what matters to you, stay true to who you are and make your decisions from there.  It will make life and wedding planning much easier and happier.
