Do you ever come back from vacation and think, I could use a vacation from my vacation?
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. I feel exactly the same way, especially after a busy, activity-filled trip.
Your destination wedding is a vacation to some degree, but a busy one. You’re traveling somewhere and planning all of these fun events. And while you’ll have an amazing time, after the wedding, you’ll want a vacation. And guess what? You have the perfect excuse to take one, your honeymoon!
Not everyone takes a honeymoon right after their wedding, but I think it’s a great idea. It gives you a chance to relax and spend time together. It gives you a chance to savor your new marriage. And because you like to travel, it also gives you a chance to experience somewhere new.
While you certainly can fly to another state or country, it’s not necessary. You don’t have to go far to get away and have some romantic alone time (away from your guests). Here are 10 honeymoon spots to enjoy after your destination wedding.

Head to Kauai for your honeymoon
Island hopping at it’s best, Kauai is just a short flight away from Maui. This lush island is super easy to get to. While it is another Hawaiian island, it has a much different feel than the more populated Maui and an even chiller vibe.
