It’s our 10th Day of Joy!  Christmas is right around the corner and so are our last gifts to you.  Today’s gift is a special one and one very close to my heart.

The Gift of Support

In our first gift, we gave you the gift of a team, you and your partner working together to create your unique wedding.  This is important and a crucial part of joyful wedding planning, but many times you just need more help.  Maybe you are stressed out or overwhelmed or just don’t know what to do.  Wedding planning is like a second job, it takes time, resources and an understanding of what you should be doing.  Not everyone has the capacity to do it or wants to for that matter.  So, how do you bring more joy and less stress into wedding planning? Get some help.

Don’t think twice and get yourself some help.  If you can afford a wedding planner, hire one, you won’t regret it.  They’ll save you time, money, headaches and so much more.  If you can’t afford a full-time wedding planner, consider consulting services or planning sessions so that you can, at least, get the guidance of a professional.  If none of those are options, help can take other forms.  Ask the help of the people you trust and are responsible like your wedding party, your friends, or your family.  They don’t have to take on big tasks, but maybe smaller and easier ones just to lessen the load, like helping you to put together your favors or finding your veil.  Or you can hire a TaskRabbit or a personal assistant for a short time to do some wedding research for you, buy some DIY items or have them take care of your everyday stuff like picking up your dry cleaning.  Don’t drown in all the things you need to do, get yourself some support, it will make wedding planning way more joyful.
