Holiday Gift Guide
It’s December, which means if you are anything like us, you’re now on the hunt for gifts for your family, friends, and loved ones. I have to admit that I’m a bit of a procrastinator when it comes to Christmas gifts, not because I don’t think about it until it’s too late, but because I’m trying to find the perfect gift for each person. After many years of searching for the perfect gift, I’ve come to realize that while the perfect gift is great, sometimes a good gift is just as good. So, to help with your search for the perfect gift, I’ve put together my version of a holiday gift guide. These are some gift ideas that I think are pretty great even if they aren’t exactly perfect (or maybe they will be for you and then you’re golden!). And an added bonus is that some of these could be great wedding party gifts too. So, let’s go shopping!
I drink a lot of water, so I love me a good water bottle. These two are favorites and perfect for a gal, a guy, a workout fiend, a traveler or just anyone who drinks water.

And since we’re talking traveling, these travel bags and pouches are a super cute and you can even get some of them monogrammed.

I always think scarves are a great gift for the ladies or the gents. It’s fashionable, comfy and will keep you warm. And I don’t think anyone ever says they own too many scarves.

While the world has gone digital, there are many of us who are old school and love a good notebook. These are both stylish and functional and perfect to jot down ideas, dreams and thoughts.
Moleskine (the classic notebook)
Bindewerk notebook (a new fave of mine)
Jewelry is always a go to when shopping for women, but it can be so personal that it’s hard to pick something you think they’ll like. You’ll be safe with both of these picks because they’re simple, pretty and functional.
Perhaps you need to get a gift for a couple and some of the best couple gifts are home gifts. While these may lean more towards a gift for a woman or the decorator of the two, I still think they are great gifts.

Besides physical items, other gifts I love to give are experiences like tickets to the theatre or a rock concert, cooking lessons or gift certificates to a favorite restaurant or spa. However, experiences are very personal and sometimes you just don’t know if they’ll love it. Instead, a great option is to introduce someone to a experience that could make their life better, happier or easier. These come in the form of subscriptions services.
Blue Apron – This is a premade box of ingredients and easy recipes delivered to your door which is perfect for the person who likes a home cooked meal but doesn’t have the time to plan or go shopping.
Audible – These audiobooks (a personal favorite) are great for anyone who spends time a lot of time in the car or running errands. It makes any chore like doing the dishes or cleaning the house more fun.
Birch Box – Beauty or grooming samples which are always fun.
Netflix – While most people already have subscriptions, this can be a good idea for your mom, dad, uncle, grandma or someone a little older.
Even if these options don’t match the person you are shopping for, I hope this helps to give you at least some ideas and spark your imagination. Good luck with your shopping and happy gift giving!
