Wedding Planning Tip: How To Handle Family Portraits

Wedding Tip from the Pros:  Designate a photo helper for your family portraits

Every couple and every wedding has family portraits (unless you’re eloping of course) that need to get taken.  Many times there will be at least a few large group shots that include your aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family.  I always recommend that couples designate a photo helper (one from the bride’s side and one from the groom’s side) who can be either a family member or a friend, but someone who knows everyone to be able to help corral people.  This helps to move the photos along and make sure no one is forgotten.
