Wedding Tip from the Pros: Think twice before choosing a pop song to have your string quartet play for your ceremony processional or recessional.
Think about the specific instruments and number of musicians playing for your wedding when considering a pop song cover. Sometimes a favorite song that is originally recorded with many different instruments, lots of rhythm and electronics, as well as vocals, may sound weak or completely out of character from the original when played by a string quartet. You want to look for good melodies that sound great, even without words. Also, styles change in music just like they do in fashion, so make sure the song you pick will still resonate with you 10 years from now.
