Amazing Gingerbread Houses
2 more days until Christmas! So, I’m not a gingerbread house maker (but I do eat gingerbread), but I totally appreciate the tradition and the amazing creations that can be made. We came across some pretty great designs from across the nation and wanted to share with you some sweetness and beauty from these awesome gingerbread houses.
There are lots of special houses one could create out of gingerbread, but the White House gingerbread house is pretty impressive. This is a tradition started by First Lady Pat Nixon in 1969 and this year’s house includes marzipan replicas of first dogs Bo and Sunny Obama.

For those of you who can’t be in Hawaii like I am (or the President), you can soak up some sand and surf via gingerbread in this super cute Hawaiian design. And if you live in Seattle, you can see it for yourself at the Sheraton Seattle hotel.
Live in the Bay Area? You should certainly check out this gorgeous gingerbread mansion at The Fairmont San Francisco. It’s so large that you can actually walk through it!
And last, but not least is this amazing chess board that won the national gingerbread house competition held in North Carolina. Look at the intricacy of the design and it’s all edible! It’s quite amazing and super cool. If you are in the south, check it out at the Omni Grove Park Inn or when it makes it’s way up to New York.
Awesome, huh? I thought so. Happy Holidays!
