Alternative Wedding Dress

While some people are really into following celebrities, I’m not really one of those people.  Celebrity gossip isn’t my thing, but I do pay attention to weddings as sometimes there can be a nugget of inspiration or an interesting trend to discover.   One of the things that I think gets the most attention besides the engagement ring is the wedding dress.

I recently came across Olivia Palermo’s very alternative wedding dress, which I thought was kind of awesome.  Instead of an actual dress, she opted for separates and wore a sweater, shorts, and a sheer skirt.  Totally different, a bit more casual, probably very comfortable and still very chic.  Doesn’t she look great?  And you can do it too!

If you are shopping around and aren’t finding anything you like or you just want something different, consider stepping outside of the normal wedding dress world.  Separates can be a great alternative wedding dress and a way to wear something unique, be fashion forward and potentially also save you a good chunk of money.
