Photo of the Week: I Spy a Japanese Wedding

We’re baaaaack!  In the country, that is.  But, we had to do another Japan photo of the week to round it all out.  We’ve got some random fun Japan recap blogs to share next week as well, so don’t forget to come back!

This week’s photo of the week is actually three photos, where we spy a Japanese wedding!  Or more like 3!  Check them out, they are all so different, it was fun to observe.

The first one was your normal white wedding dress.  You’ll notice that the groom is also all in white, which is nice.  And the bride has a cascading bouquet, which is making a comeback!

Now wedding number two wasn’t an actual wedding, but wedding photos taking place in some gardens with the couple in full traditional Japanese attire.  It’s hard to see here, but her kimono was beautiful.  It was a nice day, but hot, so they must have been dripping!

And finally wedding number three…they are waiting for the groom here, it seems.  But besides the bride’s wild dress, did you notice the dude on the left with his pants down?  We came upon this wedding hall when he was dropping his pants as a bit of a dare.  That grabbed my attention!  Then, as I was taking this photo I guess he liked it so much he is seen here trying to do it again.  What a silly guy.

Here is a closer shot of that red wedding dress.  The dress looks kind of western to me in style, like an old western.  There is something saloon-ish about it.  Notice the hat, matching accessories and the big heart on her side.  Crazy or crazy fun?

Wild, huh?  These were three very different Japanese weddings with 3 very different brides.  Totally interesting and lots of fun to observe.  What do you think of these three weddings?  Let us know in a comment below!
