Wedding Wednesdays Q&A: Newly Engaged Couples

It’s the day after Christmas and as I’m gearing up to do my annual sister shopping trip, I wanted to wish all the newly engaged couples, a big congratulations!!  Today’s Wedding Wednesdays question is for all you newly engaged couples.

Q: I just got engaged, what am I supposed to do now?

It’s such an exciting time right after the proposal, it just feels so great.  So, what are you supposed to do now?  My recommendation is to just enjoy this time.  Seriously!  Don’t start going out and buying magazines or looking at dresses.  Don’t stress and don’t worry about planning the wedding just yet.

It’s such a lovely time and such a lovely feeling being just engaged no matter how long you’ve been together.  I really think it’s important to just enjoy the moment and the bliss of being engaged before you get into all the details of how you two are going to get married.  Just be happy!  Be happy and be with each other and revel in the awesomeness that you chose each other and want to start a life together.  It’s a pretty amazing feeling, so take the time to enjoy it.
