Custom Event Design, a Labor of Love

With each destination wedding we work on, we are doing more and more custom event design.  As each couple is different, our design is different and lots of times what we are envisioning just isn’t available out there.  Our solution?  Make it in-house so that it turns out exactly the way we want it to.  It’s a labor of love (and for love!) for sure, but so worth it in the end.

For Stephanie and Michael’s wedding, we did a bunch of custom event design pieces, the biggest being these rustic wooden tables.  Stephanie was not a fan of linen and since the rental options in Hawaii are limited, we built her these wooden dining tables.  It was a huge undertaking and resulted in many mosquito bites on my part (that’s a different story), but the end product turned out phenomenal.  It was better than I ever thought possible and I can’t say how proud I was when we were finished.  Not only because we actually did it and it came out great, but because of how happy it made them.  It really brought together the whole feeling of the beachside wedding and represented them well. Check them out!

Aren’t they nice?  I’m quite proud of my carpentry skills and I think they turned out perfectly for this beachside Hawaii destination wedding.
