Mardi Gras Wedding Inspiration
In honor of Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday, today we’ve got some Mardi Gras wedding inspiration with all the decked out elegance of Carnevale. We’re not talking about the purple, yellow, green lewdness of New Orleans, but the glamour of a Venetian Masquerade.
I’ve always wanted to attend a Venetian masquerade and be amongst the crystal chandeliers, large ornate halls, marble floors, show-stopping gowns, gloves, feathers, and intricate masks in metallics and deep-jeweled colors. There is so much mystery and surprise, ancient culture and it’s just oozing with elegance.
Now, just imagine taking that idea, look and feeling and using it as inspiration for your wedding? It would be so intriguing and beautiful and the fun part is you can go traditional or modern; it just depends on your style and how you want to rock it. Either way, it will make for one unforgettable and indulgent night. Here is some Mardi Gras wedding inspiration to get you excited and your creative juices flowing.
Look at this intricate and eye-catching dress full of intrigue. It’s modern, a little Celtic inspired and oh so interesting.
Or you can go for royalty with a serious ball gown with ornate detailing, puff sleeves and even a crown.
Although this is from Harry Potter, the bride’s feathered gown and even groom’s attire would work beautifully. The detailing and colors are standouts.
And we can’t have a Venetian masquerade without masks. Check out this black and gold mask. The feathers (both long black and spotted ones) are amazing and the brushed gold is lovely.
Red is always sexy and this glittered black and red mask is perfect for a little more romance.
