Happy belated New Year to everyone! And for all my fellow Chinese, Kung Hee Fat Choy! It’s 2012 and the Year of the Dragon. What does this year hold for you?
I like to review the past year and think about how I want to shape the new year. Although sometimes this doesn’t happen as promptly as I’d like (it’s now February!), it’s never too late! There is something so nice about starting fresh with no baggage. You get to let go of the past year and are reinvigorated with what is to come. I find it’s important to create goals or even wishes for the year. Things you hope for and are going to strive towards.
One of my personal goals this year is to get back into dance. I used to dance a long time ago, but I found myself missing it recently and want to take it up again. I’m probably going to be rusty and not so great at it, but that’s ok, I think it will be fun.
Another one of my goals for this year is to continue to push the bar and create custom tailored design for couples. I’m looking for a fun and free spirited destination bound couple who want to tie the knot in a location that tells their story. Perhaps a castle in Scotland or a Tuscan countryside, in Bali, looking over rice fields, urban New York city or winter white mountains in Aspen. Weddings are all about connection and relationships and I want to create some new relationships this year. A wedding is so much more than a celebration, it is an experience and a memory that you keep with you forever. What memory do you want to make this year?
