What I’m Thankful For
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and as always I find myself thinking about my family and friends and how lucky I am to have such special people in my life. They are the important things, the most important things in my life. Family and friends should always be appreciated no matter what time of year, but Thanksgiving gives us a chance to officially take the time to love them even more. While I always immediately think of the people in my life, there is so much more to be thankful for.
We learn at a young age to be ambitious and to go after the things we want. To strive and have goals so that we always have something to reach for. We are taught to aim higher and want more, not to settle for mediocre. This motivates us to work harder, but it’s also important to remember what you have.
As I sit here and reflect on my life, I am extremely thankful for all that I have. My “job” isn’t easy by any means, but how lucky am I to be able to do something I love? How lucky am I that I get to be a part of a couple’s special day? How lucky am I that I have the flexibility to set my hours, work from home and travel when I want to? We forget sometimes amid the stress and current challenges we face, how lucky we are to be living the life we have. I am thankful to be able to do work that I believe in and am passionate about. I’m thankful to be able to own my own business and lead a life on my own terms. These are so important to my health and well-being and I’m just so thankful to be able to do it.
In this season of thanks, I hope you take the time to appreciate not only the people in your life, but your whole life as well. You are luckier than you realize.
Wishing you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving!
P.S. I’m also very thankful for stuffing, yum.
