Academy for Planners and Designers
I just came back from such a wonderful event that I have to immediately post about it! I spent the last few days at The Academy for Planners and Designers which is an educational event for wedding planners and designers (like me!). It was so nice to meet and learn from others in the industry facing similar and also different challenges. I think it’s so important to constantly be improving and honing your skills and your craft. I had been looking for an event to attend where I could expand my knowledge and I left feeling so inspired and grateful. We had some amazing speakers from Rebecca Grinnals and Sean Low to David Beahm and Tara Guerard.
Below are some photos from the event and design showcase full of fantasy and atmosphere. I loved seeing the style of each designer really come through. The first two are designed by Gloria Wong – an Emerald Underworld and the Museum of Petals.
The following are some tabletop inspiration from the design showcase. The first is an example of what I call comfortable sophistication from Grant & Company:
This design by Asiel Design was dramatic and glamorous.
This rustic and warm design was created by Tara Guerard:
And last but not least were the light illuminated bubbles by Nancy Liu Chin:
As you can see it was an amazing few days with some amazing talent! I got to meet some wonderful people and definitely made some new friends, which to me is just priceless. At the end of the event the ladies of Wedding 360, Jean and Jubilee, announced another Academy for Planners and Designers event on November 14-16 on the east coast! I’m super excited and can’t wait to learn, laugh and connect with some truly fantastic people.
