If you’re planning a destination wedding, have you started to think about planning destination wedding activities? Many couples who choose to have a destination wedding do so because they want to create an experience for themselves and their guests. And one of the biggest parts of creating that special experience for your guests is planning destination wedding activities.
Now you might be thinking, “No! I don’t want to have another thing to do!”. Ok, so I will admit that this is another task you’ll be adding on to your to-do list, but it’s also a fun task. It will get you excited for your destination wedding and I promise you’ll be so happy you did it. Here are 4 reasons why you should plan some destination wedding activities:
1. It gives you a chance to spend more time with your guests. If you’ve ever been to a wedding, you’ll know that you spend maybe about 2 minutes with the couple if you are lucky and that’s it. Planning some destination wedding activities outside of the wedding gives you multiple chances to spend time with each of your guests. You love these people, don’t you want to see and hang out with them for more than just 2 minutes? Yes, you do and I can tell you right now that they want to spend more time with you too.

2. It gives your guests a chance to meet each other. Not all of your guests will know each other unless you are having a really tiny destination wedding and maybe not even then. Organizing these activities gives your guests time to mingle in a casual setting. You can connect friends who you think would like each other and introduce your families. These destination wedding activities give everyone a chance to really meet and get to know each other.

3. It gives you and your guests a chance to make some new memories. One of the most meaningful aspects of a wedding is being able to create new memories. With these planned destination wedding activities, you’ll get to make memories together. You get to share this special experience in this special place and time together, which you’ll treasure forever.

4. It allows you to experience not only a place, but a culture. A destination wedding is essentially a trip. You are travelling to a different location, maybe even a new location and these destination wedding activities give you a chance to experience the local culture, the land, the food and the people. So, not only will you be getting married and making memories, but you’ll get to soak up what makes this destination special. All good things in my book.
