On the 7th Day of Joy – Relax, Have A Drink

Happy Sunday and welcome to our 7th Day Of Joy!  You’ve gotten some great gifts to make your wedding planning more joyful and today we’re bringing you even more joy.

On the seventh day of Christmas, Mango Muse Events gave to me…

The Gift of A Drink

You’re probably thinking, “What? You’re going to take me drinking?” And the answer is yes!  Everyone looks forward to cake tasting and menu tasting, but don’t forget about your drinks.  Part of wedding planning is working on your menu which by the way, is where the largest percentage of your budget will go, so spending time making sure it’s just what you want is important.  Going back and forth to figure out your menu can take some time which can be a bit of drag, so why not have some fun while doing it?

Bring more joy to menu planning, by going wine, beer and cocktail tasting!  This can be a trip to a bar, restaurant, brewery or winery (or all of the above) to try out some different options.  Or if you want to play bartender, host some friends for a dinner party, purchase some wine and beer, create some cocktails and have a good ole time!  Or do both!  It’s a fun way to test out the different wine/beer options you have (whether it’s coming off a venue/caterer list or your own) and try out some drink recipes to come up with your specialty cocktails.

Now, let’s say you don’t drink alcohol or you just aren’t a big drinker, you can still have some fun tasting with non-alcoholic options.  Maybe it’s the coffee or tea you want to serve, virgin mojitos, fruit drinks or hot chocolate.  Go out tasting or throw a party to try out different options.  You can go tasting with just the two of you or this can be a fun opportunity to share with your wedding party.  Let them get to know each other while wedding planning and having a good time.  That sounds like a lot of joy to me!
