Wedding Wednesdays Q&A: Love Story

Wedding Wednesdays Q&A by Jamie Chang Destination Wedding Planner of Mango Muse Events

Hello, all you engaged couples!  I hope your wedding planning is going smoothly and if not, send us your questions and we’ll answer them and help you out as much as we can.  This week’s question is fitting for Valentine’s Day.

Q: I like the idea of incorporating our love story into the wedding, but what if we don’t really have one?

Everybody has a love story!  Just because your story may not be grand or crazy or complicated or long, doesn’t mean you don’t have a story.  It doesn’t have to be about how you met or even how you got engaged, your love story is about your relationship together.  Your love story is about you two as individuals and as a pair.

Think about the things you do together that are special to the two of you, or the traditions you have, or silly names you call each other, or dreams you share or how you are with each other or what you love about each other.  Every person is different and every relationship is different which automatically creates your unique love story.  Then you just take those special bits about your life together and share it with your guests.

You can share your story in the form of food, or music or your invites or decor or your location or your first dance or in your ceremony or in all of the above.  There are so many ways to incorporate your story, so get creative and share it with your family and friends.  Your wedding is a celebration of your love, so sharing your love story is fun for everyone.
