A Personalized Hawaii Wedding – Congrats to Debra and Dave!

A big congratulations to the newlyweds, Debra and Dave!  I had the pleasure of working with this super laid back and easy going couple on their personalized Hawaii wedding.  They are two very sweet, generous and caring people and I’m so happy for them.  Their wedding was full of laughter, great food and a bunch of cool surprises which made it so much fun for them and their guests.  Here are just a few photos from the day.

We had daisies springing up from the ground which lined the aisle and hanging orchid garlands were strung from the Hau tree where the ceremony took place.  It was so cheery and lovely.

One of the things I loved about this personalized Hawaii wedding is how customized and meaningful it was.  The table design was made up of handmade lace runners and linen napkins, homemade wine (made by the bride’s brother) and a fun collection of vases with flowers in pinks, greens, whites and butter yellows (gotta love those peonies, sweet pea and dusty miller!).  The wedding favors were a little collection of local spices with instructions on how to use them from our foodie couple. And we hand custom hanging pink lanterns hanging from the tent which were made to match the pink linen.

We also planned a bunch of fun surprises like a Ben and Jerry’s ice cream truck, malasadas (Portuguese donut) for dessert, and a casino tent for all their gambling friends and family.  It was loads of fun and I’m so happy to have been able to help them create it.
